Commuters are finding it very tough from Vadapalani to Porur now!!
Nothing short of a nightmare!!
This was mentioned by a frequent commuter who travels via Arcot Road in Vadapalani in Chennai. He spoke about how the entire stretch from Vadapalani to Porur has been in a bad shape and travelling by motorcycle has been difficult now here. The reason for the poor condition of the road here is because of the metro rail phase 2 construction works.
Truth is that the commuters have been finding it tough already with the reduced road width and it is further increased by poor condition of the road construction vehicles stationed at some points and materials strewn on the road. To navigate the traffic congestion at Vadapalani is tough for the commuters and the ride is uncomfortable for the commuters at Saligramam due to uneven patchwork by CMRL.
Not only Vadapalani and Saligraman, but also in Virugambakkam and Valsarawakkam there are craters present on the roads and they make the travel really tough for the commuters.
As per a resident from Virugambakkam it was clear that the pedestrians don`t have space to walk and it was dangerous to cross the road with construction materials present in the median space.
