At three seventy five fire stations across Tamil Nadu, awareness classes regarding fire safety would be held tomorrow and day after tomorrow. This would be organised by the Fire Department. To take part in the fire safety awareness programme, the public has been invited also. It is known that Mrs. Seema Agarwal is the DGP/ director of TN Fire and Rescue services.
It was mentioned in a press release statement yesterday by the TN Fire and Rescue Services department that the department serves the people with the main aim of `Saving is our job`. It is worth mentioning here that lives and properties are being saved by the department. Moreover, the main work of the Fire and Rescue dept was to protect the public from natural disasters like floods, storms, landslides etc and from manmade disasters. The statement also revealed that as per the name the department personnel also carry out several rescue operations to save people as well as animals etc in danger.
Vaanga Katrukolvome initiative:
To spread awareness about fire safety to the public, the department has launched an initiative `Vaanga Katrukolvome`. It is learnt that the awareness programme has been designed to take the common public to the nearest fire stations and teach them essentials regarding fire safety etc. It is now said that as a part of the initiative personnel from 375 Fire and Rescue Service stations in Tamil Nadu would conduct awareness classes for the public on 11th and 12th October.
