Over 1.57 Lakh Attend Agri Business Expo 2025 in Chennai
The Agri Business Expo 2025 concluded on September 28 at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, drawing over 1.57 lakh participants, including 15,000 farmers. Inaugurated by Chief Minister Thiru. M.K. Stalin, the event also featured the announcement of new welfare schemes for farmers.
The two-day expo showcased 220 stalls - 68 by Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), 25 by government departments, and 29 by private entities - highlighting agricultural products, organic foods, and modern farming technologies. Live demonstrations focused on green farming, bio-fertilizers, and water management.
The event included seminars, discussions, and producer–trader meetings, bringing together farmers, students, exporters, and industry experts. Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam described the expo as a grand success, reinforcing Tamil Nadu’s commitment to agri-business growth and farmers’ welfare.
