Know about the International City that would be created at Madurantakam near Chennai
Don`t get surprised if you come across an international city with schools, colleges, housing facilities etc in Madurantakam in the future!!
It must be noted that tenders have been invited to prepare a master plan for an international city on 2000 acres at Madurantakam near Chennai.
It must be recalled that in March TN finance minister, Mr. Thangam Thenanaru presented a budget statement for the current year 2025-26. It was announced at that time that new integrated cities would be created to meet the demands of the people. It was also mentioned that a world class city with schools, colleges, private institutions and housing facilities etc would be created on 2000 acres near Chennai. For the international cities, sites were identified in Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Chengalpet and Ranipet districts in TN. Information gathered is that a study report was also sent to TIDCO or Tamil Nadu industrial Development Corporation.
In this scenario, the Tamil Nadu government has decided to set up a new international city over 2000 acres of land at Madurantakam in the Chengalpet district. Now, TIDCO has invited bids to prepare a master plan for the establishment of an international city. It is superb to note that once the international city is created at Madurantakam many multinational investments would go to these and many new jobs would be created.
