Chennai Corporation Urges Property Owners to Pay Tax Before September 30
The Greater Chennai Corporation has requested all property owners to pay the property tax for the current half-year (I/2025-26) on or before September 30, 2025, to avoid the levy of special interest under Section 84(2) of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998.
Property tax payments can be made through multiple modes, including:
- Greater Chennai Corporation Tax Collectors
- Government e-Service Centers
- Official GCC website
- RTGS/NEFT
- Paytm
- Namma Chennai App
- Credit/Debit Cards and UPI services
- Cheque machines at the Chennai Corporation Revenue Department
- QR codes installed by the Corporation at designated government offices

The Corporation has urged property owners to make timely payments and extend their cooperation towards the ongoing development works in Chennai city.
