3600 temple consecrations now completed by HR & CE dept in TN!!
n Thursday, consecrations of 90 temples took place in TN. With this, the total number of temple consecrations across TN has reached 3600. Sound`s incredible right!!
Mr. P.K. Sekar Babu, minister spoke about this yesterday and mentioned that temples are being identified by HR and CE dept where consecration was performed about 12 years back. Renovation works have been taken up. After the renovation works get completed fully, consecrations would be carried out. The minister made his presence felt at the consecration ceremony of Kasi Viswanatha temple and Choolai based Arulmigu Angalaparameswari temple.He added that HR and CE dep[t performed consecration ceremony for 95 temples yesterday and till now such ceremony was held for 3600 temples across TN. He hinted that under the current TN govt efforts have been intensified to retrieve encroached temple lands worth Rs 7000 plus crores.
