Important!! Last date to fill up 645 vacancies for Group 2 and Group 2A on 13th August!!

The news is that the deadline to apply for 645 vacant posts in Group 2 and Group 2 A ends the day after tomorrow or 13th August 2025. The degree holders are now competing to apply for these vacancies

It must be recalled that TNPSC has issued a notification on 15th July 2025 regarding filling up of as many as 645 vacancies in Group 2 and Group 2A. The 50 posts that are being filled up in Group 2 are 6 assistant inspector posts, 1 junior employment officer (Normal persons), 1 junior employment office (differently abled), probation officers, sub-registrar Grade-2 and 22 foresters etc.

In Group 2A, as many as 595 posts are being filled up and these are 65 senior inspector posts in milk production and dairy development dept, 11 audit inspector posts in Hindu Religious Endowments Dept, 12 assistants in Commercial tax dept and 40 senior revenue inspectors in Revenue Administration and Disaster Management dept etc. Point is that announcement was made on the same day regarding using the website www.tnpscexams.in for applying.

The basic qualification needed is an undergraduate degree in any field. Truth is that not only bachelor`s degree holders but also post-graduate and engineers are applying for these posts. Thousands are applying every day and the deadline would end on 13th of August or day after tomorrow. It is expected that many would be racing against time to apply for these posts today and tomorrow.

Now, TNPSC has made some important elaborate arrangements. To make the necessary corrections in the applications, time has been issued from 18th August 12:01 pm till 20th August 11:59 am. The selection board has also requested the candidates to apply quickly without waiting for the last day. More than 4 lakhs candidates would be applying for the examinations.

Date and time of preliminary exam:

The preliminary examination would be held on 28th of September 2025 from 9:30am to 12:30pm. In this exam, a total of 200 questions would be asked and this would include 100 questions from General Knowledge or GK (UG level), 100 questions from GK (10th standard level). It must be noted that a total of 300 marks would be given at one and half marks per answer. Only those candidates who clear this preliminary examination would be called for the next stage main examination.
