Today, 3rd & final round of TNEA counselling will take place!!
Today could be a very important day for many aspiring and eligible engineering students in Tamil Nadu.
The news is that today 7th August 2025 the third and final counselling for engineering admissions would be taking place. One lakh students from the general category would attend the counselling today.
In the final round of counselling those students with cut off marks between 143 and 77.55 would be participating. This was as per some sources belonging to the Directorate of Technical Education or DOTE. Hence, as many as 105528 students would be participating in the final round of counselling. This was as per an official from DOTE.
Point is that based on the rank list and cut off marks the govt school students who will be availing 7.5% horizontal reservation would be participating.
The official from DOTE spoke about how till 9th August the students belonging to general as well as govt school category could fill their choices. On 10th August, the tentative allotments for engg seats for the eligible students would take place. He concluded that the students must confirm their tentative allotment on or before 10th of August.
On 12th August, the provisional allotment results for the third round are scheduled and it would be followed by the date of confirmation of tentative allotments. It must be noted that the students could go to the TNEA facilitation centres directly if they want to choose any upward movement.
From 14th to 16th August, single round counselling for the vocational students who have secured cut offs between 200 and 60 would take place,
