An important announcement from the postal department for the school students!!
The department of posts has mentioned that those students who wished to take part in the stamp collecting competitions and stamp quiz etc could apply by 25th of August 2025.
It was brought out by the press release from the head of Anna Salai main post office Nihala K. Sheriff that stamp quiz and stamp collecting competitions would be held for students studying in class 6 to 9th across Tamil Nadu.
It is worthy to note that the selected students would receive an amount of Rs 6000 per year as the scholarship amount from TN postal circle. It must be noted that the students participating in the competition must be a member of a philatelic collection centre in schools. Point to be noted is that if there is no such centre in the school then the students must be self collectors of philatelic collections. On 20th September 2025, a regional level quiz competition would take place.
The release mentioned that those students who wished to take part in the competition must download the applications from the website www. tamilnadupost.cept.govt.in. Last date is 25th August.
