1090 special buses to operate for this weekend and for Aadi Perukku!!
This is Aadi month and Aadi Perukku festival is round the corner.
For the weekend holiday on Saturday (1st August) and for the Aadi Perukku holiday on Sunday (2nd August), 1090 special buses would operate for the public. This was announced by the state express transport corporation.
On Friday (1st August) about 340 buses and on Saturday (2nd August) about 350 buses would operate from Kilambakkam in Chennai to places like Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari, Thoothukudi, Salem, Kovai, Erode and Tirupur.
On Friday, 55 buses and on Saturday 55 buses would operate from Koyambedu bus terminus in Chennai to places such as Tiruvannamalai, Nagai, Vellankanni, Hosur, Bengaluru etc.
In the same manner, on Friday from Madhavaram in Chennai, about 20 special buses would operate. On Saturday also, from Madhavaram 20 buses would operate. There would be 250 buses from Kovai, Bengaluru, Erode, Tiruppur etc to other places. It is worthy to note that for those who are returning back to Chennai from these places, special buses would be operated.
