Heavy Rain Expected in Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Theni, and Tenkasi Districts: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for parts of Tamil Nadu. According to the latest update from the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai, heavy rainfall is likely to occur today in isolated places across Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Theni, and Tenkasi districts.

Naduvattam (Nilgiris) – 10 cm
Chinnakallar (Coimbatore) – 8 cm
Katpadi & Avalanche – 5 cm each
A cyclonic circulation over South India may bring thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (up to 50 kmph) in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal over the next three days.
