Sensex hits 3-year high

For the first time after November 2010, the BSE Sensex hit a new three-year high during the day`s trading on Friday.The Sensex was trading 316 points up at 20,732 at around 12.30 pm. Earlier in the day, the Sensex hit a new three-year high of 20,765.13 at around 11.30am.
Shares of banking, realty, metal and refinery sectors moved up sharply on good demand from operators and investors.
Major gainers were ICICI Bank, SSLT, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank and Maruti Suzuki.
