Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a rain warning for the next 3 hours across 15+ Tamil Nadu districts. Due to westerly wind variation, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected today (July 17).
Orange Alert:
Coimbatore & Nilgiris on July 18–19 for heavy rainfall (15–20 cm).
Districts Expected to Receive Rain (Today):
Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Vellore, Ranipet, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Tirunelveli, Theni, Tenkasi, Tiruvannamalai, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Puducherry, Karaikal.
