From 30th July, counselling for MBBS/BDS would begin in TN!!
The health minister of TN Mr. M. Subramanian has informed that the counselling for MBBS/BDS for the academic year 2025-26 would commence from 30th July 2025. This year, a total of 72743 applications have been received from the students for MBBS/BDS courses in Tamil Nadu.
It must be taken into account that currently the selection committee is verifying these applications and it would go on till 25th July. After this, a merit list would be released and then the counselling process scheduled by the Medical Counselling Committee (under the Union Health Ministry) would begin. The health minister spoke about how during the verification process there were some applications that were submitted using forged documents. He mentioned that these students would be punished legally for trying to get admission through fraudulent means.
Update of new PG medical courses:
The health minister Mr. M. Subramanian later explained about the PG medical admissions across TN. Point is that approval has been given to begin new PG courses at 13 government based medical colleges across TN. It is now said that these new PG courses would begin soon and it would enhance the TN medical education infrastructure.
