Kudamuzhukku ceremony of Kandakottam Murugar Temple in Parrys Corner in Chennai Whats happening now?
In Parry`s Corner in Chennai, there is Kandakottam Muthukumaraswamy temple. This is also known as Kandakottam Murugar temple.
The latest news is that the consecration ceremony or kudamuzhukku of Kandakottam Murugar temple will be held tomorrow, 16th of July 2025. It is known to us that till now the kudamuzhukku ceremony for 100 temples has been held by the ruling government on behalf of Hindu Religious & Endowment Department.
In this temple at Parrys Corner, there are shrines for moolavar or main deity, utsavar and amman inside the temple. There are also many shrines like siddhibudhi vinayagar, saravana poigai, panchaboodha theertham, saptha kannigal etc in this temple.
Tomorrow between 1015 am to 1115 am, the consecration ceremony will be held in this temple. For this ceremony, the gopuram has been painted with panchavarnam or 5 colours. It is learnt that the consecration ceremony would be carried out on behalf of TN Peri Chettiar community, temple executive officer Mr. Sivakumar, trustee committee chairman Mr. Ashok Kumar, trustees Mr. Senthil Mr. Nandhakumar, Mr. Suresh Kumar etc,
Important personalities who would be making their presence felt at the ceremony would be HR & CE minister Mr. P.K. Sekarbabu, Chennai Mayor Priya, Mr. Manivannan, additional chief secretary and few others.
