Do you know about the food festival at the airport in Chennai?
Yes. It’s true. At the international airport in Chennai a food festival is being held every Thursday and this is jointly organised by Chennai international airport and a private catering company (Travels food Services).
It must be taken into note that every Thursday at 3pm at the Chennai international airport popular chefs participate in the TFS lounge and make some delicious foods for the passengers.
Point is that the chefs would explain to the passengers about traditional south Indian foods plus about the health benefits of such foods and how to prepare these foods without excess salt or oil.
The airport food festival was started with the objective of improving the experience of the passengers at the airport in Chennai.
These days, there are so many modern foods available and preparation and consumption of traditional south Indian foods have taken a back seat. It was brought out by some Chennai airport officials that this food festival is being organised to make everybody know the traditional south Indian foods. They have added that the food festival at the airport has caught the attention of many foreign and north India based passengers at the airport.
On Thursday evening, the inaugural function of this food festival was held at DFS lounge and Mr. C.V. Deepak, director, Chennai airport, inaugurated the food festival. The Thursday event witnessed a famous chef, airport staff and passengers etc.
