The meteorologists have informed that from today till 8th of July most places in TN would receive rains as SW monsoons have started to intensify in Kerala state.
According to RMC in Chennai, it rained In some places in TN yesterday and the temperature increased to 2 degrees to 3 degrees Celsius above the normal. The temp was closer to normal also in a few places in TN. In districts like Karur, Thoothukudi etc, the temp was 3 degrees to 5 degrees higher than the normal. The temperature increased by 3 degrees in the districts such as Dindigul, Erode, Madurai, Nilgiris, Tirunelveli, Vellore etc.
As a result of the variation of speed of westerly wind, light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning would occur in few places from today till 8th July. There would be inconvenience for the people as the temperature would increase by 2 degrees to 3 degrees Celsius.
Chennai would be partly cloudy today and there are chances of rains in some parts of the city. The maximum temperature today would be 100 degrees to 102 degrees Celsius today. Cyclonic winds of speeds of 65 mph would blow in the coastal regions of TN, Gulf of Mannar and the adjoining Kanniyakumari Sea today and tomorrow.
