In a major boost to Tamil Nadu`s industrial development, WS Industries has announced a ₹4,000 crore investment to establish a 600-acre industrial park near Sunguvarchatram, close to Chennai. The park will focus on infrastructure for factories, logistics, data centers, and electronic projects.
The proposed facility will be located near major global electronics firms such as Foxconn and Samsung, strengthening the region’s reputation as a manufacturing and electronics hub.
WS Industries, headquartered in Chennai, is known for its infrastructure and industrial development services. This new initiative aligns with the Tamil Nadu government’s efforts under Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to position the state as a \$1 trillion economy by 2030.
The government has been actively encouraging sector-specific industrial parks and attracting global investments through international visits and high-level investor summits. As a result, agreements worth over ₹9 lakh crore have already been signed, including recent MoUs worth ₹7,616 crore with 19 companies during the CM`s US visit—creating over 11,500 jobs.
This new industrial park by WS Industries marks another milestone in Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth story.
