MTC Releases Routes for Newly Launched Electric Buses in Chennai

The Chennai Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has officially released the routes for the newly launched electric buses in the city. As part of the first phase, 120 electric buses will be operated from the Vyasarpadi workshop.

The fleet was flagged off today by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, marking a significant step towards sustainable urban transport in Tamil Nadu.

Routes and Allocation of the 120 E-Buses:

K. Kannadasan Nagar – M.K.B. Nagar – Central – Government Estate – Central – Vyasarpadi – Kannadasan Nagar

Route No. 18A (Circular Route) - 10 buses (No.of. Bus)

Broadway – Glamappakkam

Route No. C33 (Circular Route) - 05 buses (No.of. Bus)

Kannadasan Nagar – Vyasarapadi – Broadway – Central – Soolai – Perambur Market – Kannadasan Nagar

Route No. C64 (Circular Route) - 05 buses (No.of. Bus)
