Tamilnadu and Puducherry may experience rain today

The Chennai Meteorological research centre said there are chances of rain today in most places of Tamilnadu and Puducherry. There were rains in some parts of Tamil Nadu yesterday.
The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres areas follows:
Virudachalam (Cuddalore Dist) 7, Sethiathope and Chidambaram (both Cuddalore Dist), Sankarapuram and Tirukoilur (both Villupuram Dist) and Tiruvannamalai (Tiruvannamalai Dist) 4 each, Polur (Tiruvannamalai Dist), DGP office (Chennai Dist), Kollidam (Nagapattinam Dist), Kattumannarkoil (Cuddalore Dist), Kallakurichi (Villupuram Dist) and Cholavaram (Tiruvallur Dist) 2 each and Penucondapuram (Krishnagiri Dist), Tozhudur and Srimushnam (both Cuddalore Dist), Chengam (Tiruvannamalai Dist) and Mayiladuthurai (Nagapattinam Dist) 1 each.
