Mandaveli Bus Depot and Terminal Undergo Major Modernization with Retail and Commercial Space Integrating Metro Station Entry/Exit and Bus Drop Off & Pick Up Point
Chennai Metro Asset Management Limited (CMAML), a joint venture of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), has floated a tender for modern property development building at Mandaveli Bus Terminal and its Depot land at a cost of Rs. 151 crores includes GST and provisional sum.
As part of Corridor 3, Chennai Metro Phase 2 network, Entry/Exit structures of Mandaiveli Underground station are planned inside the existing Mandaiveli Bus Terminus & Depot. To utilize the land in an effective manner, Property development integrated with station entry/exit and Bus Pick up and drop off bay are proposed to be constructed.
Site Area & Built-up Area: Site-1 3031Sq.m (0.745 Acres) & Site 2 -3594Sq.m (0.88 Acres) & and built-up area of Site-1 - 13,419Sq.m & Site- 2 15,966 Sq.m. Both the sites will gain dual road access from RK Mutt Road and its perpendicular roads.

- Two basement levels will provide parking facilities for 318 two-wheelers and 96 four-wheelers.
- Retail spaces are planned from the Ground to the seven floors, featuring dedicated zones with essential support services.
3. The terrace will include solar panel installations, promoting sustainability and adherence to green building standards.
