Starting from today, moderate rains in one or two places across TN!!
According to the meteorological department, there are chances of moderate rains in one or two places across the state of Tamil Nadu from today till 14th of May.
It was brought to light in the press release that over the southern parts of India along the lower parts of the atmosphere there is an area where east and west winds meet. As a result of this, light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in one or two places belonging to TN on 9th of May. On 10th and 11th of May, light to moderate rains is likely to occur and from 12th to 14h May,
In Tamil Nadu, today at one or two places and on 10th and 1th, the maximum temperature would be 5 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the normal. Today, the sky would be partly cloudy in Chennai and its suburbs. Information gathered is that light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning etc is likely to occur in some localities belonging to Chennai.
There might be cyclonic storms with speeds of 45kmph to 50 kmph along the coastal areas of TN, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Kumari Sea. It is noteworthy that across TN in the last 24 hours till 8:30 am yesterday Chandiyur in Salem district recorded 11cms of rains followed by 8cm of rain in Pechiparai in Kanniyakumari district and in Sivakasi belonging to Virudhunagar district. Omalur in Salem district recorded 7cm of rain and 6cm of rain was recorded in Ariyalur district based Thirumanur.
