In the future, don`t be surprised if you come across a 27 storey Central tower near the Central railway station in Chennai.
The latest news is that Chennai Metro Asset Management Limited or CMAML and Renaatus Projects Private Ltd has signed an agreement to construct a 27 storey Central Tower. It would cost Rs 349.99 crores.
It is worthy to mention here that CMAML is a special purpose vehicle or SPV constituted jointly by CMRL and TIDCO or Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation for enhancing transit oriented development works. It is now said that as a part of the initiative an agreement has been made to construct a tower in the city.
This upcoming Central Tower would be located near the famous Central railway station and it would help in seamless connectivity plus various other modern amenities etc. This was pointed out by a press note from CMRL.
Important piece of information is that the upcoming 27 storey tower would meet the international green building standards with eco-friendly construction materials, renewable energy, water conservation measures and energy efficient systems etc. The 27 storey building would be setting up a benchmark for sustainable urban development.
What all will be present in the Central Tower?
The tower would have spaces for business, leisure and hospitality etc. It would provide a great environment for the residents, visitors, commuters and tourists etc. Point to be noted is that the tower would have state-of-art infrastructure and with its strategic location the project would enhance the connectivity of Chennai plus improve economy and quality of lives.
Important personalities who were present at the time of signing of contract were Mr. M.A. Siddique, chairman of CMAML, Mr. T. Archunan, director of CMAML, Mr. S. Manoj Poosappan, MD of Renaatus Projects Pvt Ltd etc.
