The Police verification for passports will now become easier

The process of getting a passport will become easier and quicker henceforth. A new system has been convinced to be set up by the Tamil Nadu police by the Chief Passport Officer.
This new system will help in the quicker verification process. In this new system, after an application is being processed at PSK- Passport Seva Kendra, the Police Commissioner office will be informed through a scheduling device online.
This system will be monitored by the Assistance commissioner and he will forward the verification request to the concerned police station electronically. The clearance will thus be made in 1 or 2 days’ time.
