Southern Railway Announces Train Cancellations and Rescheduling Due to Engineering Works
Due to engineering works scheduled from 00:20 to 04:15 on June 12 and 13 in the Chennai Central - Arakkonam section, Southern Railway (SR) has announced the cancellation of two EMU trains between Moore Market Complex and Tiruvallur.
The canceled services are:
• The Moore Market Complex - Tiruvallur EMU local, which was set to depart from Moore Market Complex at 04:30.
• The Tiruvallur - Moore Market Complex EMU local, scheduled to leave Tiruvallur at 03:50 on both days.
Additionally, train No. 06066 Dhanbad - Tambaram special, initially planned to depart from Dhanbad at 06:00 on June 12, has been rescheduled to leave at 10:00.
Starting July 1, the Railway Board has decided to revert all Southern Railway passenger train numbers to their pre-Covid sequences, beginning with 5, 6, or 7. This change will affect 296 passenger trains.
