Southern Railway Extends Vande Bharat and Special Train Services Due to Overwhelming Demand
Southern Railway has responded to overwhelming demand by extending its popular Vande Bharat train services. The weekly Vande Bharat special train between Chennai Egmore and Nagercoil, initially slated from April 4 to April 25, will now continue beyond this period. Similarly, the service from Nagercoil to Chennai Egmore on Thursdays has been prolonged to cater to more travelers.
Moreover, Southern Railway has extended the weekly special train service between Tirunelveli and Mettupalayam. Originally planned to operate from April 7 to May 27, this service will now run until the latter date.
These extensions reflect the positive feedback from passengers, underlining the significance of these routes and the escalating demand for efficient railway services in the region.
