Traffic Diversions on Cathedral Road Near Music Academy Starting Wednesday
Effective Wednesday, traffic diversions will be in place on Cathedral Road near the Music Academy junction, opposite Amaravathi Hotel. These diversions are scheduled for seven days to accommodate the ongoing work by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
Diversions:
1. From Alwarpet Junction to TTK Road and From Music Academy Junction to Cathedral Road:
- Vehicles will be diverted at Alwarpet Junction onto Murrays Gate Road, then right onto Kasturi Ranga Road, before reaching Cathedral Road.
2. From Bishop Wallace East Road to Cathedral Road:
- Traffic will be diverted at Music Academy Junction, requiring a U-turn followed by a route through the Savera Hotel service road, Nilgiris point, Music Academy flyover, and finally reaching Cathedral Road.
3. From VP Raman Road, Lloyds Road, Indian Bank Junction, and TTK Road to Cathedral Road:
- Vehicles will be diverted at Music Academy Junction, turning left onto Savera Hotel service road, Nilgiris point, and making a U-turn to cross the Music Academy flyover for access to Cathedral Road.
4. From TTK Road via JJ Road, Srimman Sreenivasan Road, Ambujambal Road, Bashyam Bashir Ahamed Road, and Parthasarathy Garden Road to Cathedral Road:
- Diversions will be implemented at the Music Academy Junction, with vehicles directed onto the Savera Hotel service road, Nilgiris point, making a U-turn, and crossing the Music Academy flyover to reach Cathedral Road.
These diversions aim to streamline traffic flow and ensure the smooth progress of the ongoing infrastructure work. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the designated diversions for a hassle-free commute.
