Delay in Metro Rail test run

The Chennai Metro Rail project is waiting for the flag off date from the CM office. Chennai residents are eagerly waiting for the Metro Rail that has been scheduled to commence from December 2013.
CMRL is waiting for the announcement of the date for flag-off from August onwards. Testing of sir compressors, air conditioning, lighting and electricity – everything else is completed.
During May, CMRL brought the metro train from Sao Polo in Brazil to Chennai, the first metro rail to be used in service. It is in Koyambedu, ready for the test runs and trial runs on December 2013.
