Residents returning back to Chennai after NY vacations cause traffic choking in Chennai!!

The New Year celebrations are completed now and people are returning back to Chennai from their native places after their vacations. This led to choking of the traffic on OMR, ECR and GST roads in the city on Tuesday morning.
In addition, the people returning back to the Chennai city from locations like OMR, ECR etc (after celebrating the NY festival with their families etc) have caused choking of traffic at many junctions.
From Akkarai Jn to Uthandi in ECR and from Kelambakkam to Thiruvanmiyur in OMR, the traffic was blocked completely. The GST Road in Singaperumal Koil, MM. Nagar, Guduvancheri and Urapakkam etc were busy with lots of vehicles. There were piling up of vehicles for about 3kms and the vehicles moved only at a low speed. It must be noted that the situation remained the same until early hours of Tuesday as many people were coming to Chennai.
