In the wake of unprecedented rains, flooding, and waterlogging at Tirunelveli Station, significant changes have been implemented in the pattern of train services. The following alterations have been made:
Cancellation of Train Services:
1. Train No. 06643 Nagercoil - Kanniyakumari Express Special, scheduled to commence its journey on 19.12.2023, stands fully cancelled.
2. Train No. 06641 Nagercoil - Tirunelveli Express Special, journey commencing on 19.12.2023, is fully cancelled.
3. Train No. 12512 Kochuveli - Gorakhpur Raptisagar Express, journey commencing on 20.12.2023, is fully cancelled.
Change in Origin (Due to Partial Cancellation):
1. Train No. 20692 Nagercoil - Tambaram Antyodaya Express, journey commencing on 19.12.2023, is partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Virudhunagar. The train will now commence its service from Virudhunagar.
2. Train No. 20636 Kollam - Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Express, journey commencing on 19.12.2023, is partially cancelled between Kollam and Kovilpatti. The train will now commence service from Kovilpatti.
Change in Origin (Due to Partial Cancellation - Kanniyakumari Route):
1. Train No. 06640 Kanniyakumari - Punalur Express Special, scheduled to commence on 19.12.2023, is partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Nagercoil. The train will now start its service from Nagercoil.
2. Train No. 12634 Kanniyakumari - Chennai Egmore Superfast Express, journey commencing on 19.12.2023, is partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Madurai. The train will now commence service from Madurai.
3. Train No. 22658 Nagercoil - Tambaram Superfast Express, journey commencing on 19.12.2023, is partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Kovilpatti. The train will now commence service from Kovilpatti.
