Intensifying surveillance in TN due to the rise in the Coronavirus cases in Kerala!!

From the studies conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Health Dept it was clear that about 87percent of people belonging to TN have developed immunity against Coronavirus. This was revealed yesterday by Dr. Selva Vinayagam, director of TN Public Health Dept.
He later expressed his thoughts about the sudden increase in the Coronavirus cases in Kerala now and said that the TN public health dept has been observing the increase in the cases. He was unclear regarding whether the infection was Coronavirus that already spread in TN or it was a new mutant one. Information is that steps have been taken to intensify medical surveillance across TN.
It is learnt that those people with influenza and showing Coronavirus infection symptoms like cold, fever, shortness of breath etc visiting the hospitals for treatment would be subjected to RT PCR tests. It was also mentioned that if needed the daily tests would be increased. He concluded that TN already has fought against Coronavirus infection and brought it under control. Hence, the TN public need not fear about the spread of Coronavirus infection.
