Government to decide on oil price in next few weeks

The oil secretary stated that the government will take a call in deciding about the price hike in diesel and cooking gas rates in the coming weeks. He also stated that there may be Rs 3 to Rs 5 hike in the price of diesel that will count to nearly 40% increase from the current rate.
The Indian rupee value hit the least record against the US dollar at Rs 68.85 per dollar on 28th August. However, the rupee value is gradually recovering to its original state.
