Chennai residents are advised to carefully plan their travel routes as the city implements specific travel restrictions. Uninterrupted traffic is permitted from the airport to Anna Salai and along the East Coast Road. However, commuters should be aware of travel restrictions in the areas between Puzhal Aerodrome and Manjambakkam due to the opening of the Puzhal Lake sluice gates.
Notably, travel permission is not granted for several subway routes, including Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Villivakkam, Thuraipakkam, Rangarajapuram, Saidapet - Aranganathan, C.P. Ramaswamy Salai, Vyasarpadi, Thiruvotriyur Manikkam Nagar, Choolaimedu Loyola, and Kathirvedu. Travel is currently restricted on these subway routes.
