Prospects for heavy rains in 8 districts today 1st December!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects heavy rains today (Saturday, 1st December) in the 8 districts of Ramanathapuram, Pudhukkottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagappattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, and Villupuram and Pudhuchery & Karaikkal due to the cyclonic format precailing in the atmosphere over the Bay of Bengal.
The low-pressure zone which formed in the atmosphere over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjacent Andaman South areas has transformed into a strong depression zone today morning (Saturday, 1st December). The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that this depression zone will transform into a cyclone in 2 days and is likely to cross the coast on the 4th of December on the Chennai Metro City and Andhra coasts.

3rd December – Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Ranippettai, Vellore
