Starting from October 1, 2023, the popular train route between Chennai Egmore and Kollam is set to witness an exciting upgrade. The Anantapuri Express, which currently operates as Train No. 16823/16824, will be converted into a Superfast Express service and renumbered as Train No. 20635/20636.
This transition to a Superfast Express promises passengers an enhanced and speedier travel experience between Chennai Egmore and Kollam. The renumbered Train No. 20635/20636, known as the Chennai Egmore - Kollam - Chennai Egmore Anantapuri Superfast Express, will bring several advantages, including reduced travel time and improved onboard amenities.
