SBI Recruitment Alert: Apply by September 27 for 2000 Probationary Officer Vacancies

The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a recruitment drive for 2000 vacancies of Probationary Officers (POs), with the application deadline set for September 27. Candidates interested in pursuing this opportunity must meet certain eligibility criteria, which include having a graduation degree by December 31, 2023.
Even final year students and individuals with degrees in Medicine, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost Accountancy can apply. However, it`s important to note that candidates from the general category who have previously attempted the exam four times need not apply. For OBC and differently-abled candidates, the maximum number of attempts allowed is seven, while applicants from Scheduled categories have no such limit on attempts.
Applicants should also fall within the age range of 21 to 30 years as of April 1, 2023, with relaxation available for eligible categories as per relevant rules.
Those selected for the PO position will receive a salary in the scale of Rs 36,000-63,840.
The selection process consists of two stages - a preliminary examination and a main examination. The preliminary exam includes 100 objective-type questions from English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning, with a one-hour time limit. The main examination features objective-type questions for 200 marks and descriptive questions for 50 marks, followed by a group exercise for 20 marks and an interview for 30 marks.
For candidates in Tamil Nadu, the preliminary exam centers include Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Madurai, Nagercoil, Salem, Thanjavur, Thiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Vellore, and Virudhunagar.
