LPG consumers will get there subsidies from next month

On October 1, The Centre has announced that Direct Cash Transfers will be initiated to all LPG consumers in Tamil Nadu. Transferring of subsidies to LPG consumers will commence on 1st October in 25 districts including Ariyalur in Tamilnadu.
The scheme has already been launched in 54 districts across the country, where the Centre transfers cash subsidy for LPG cylinders directly to Aadhar number-linked bank accounts. As per the scheme, LPG consumers will have to pay the full market price for cylinders when they purchase them from dealers.
In Chennai, market price of a cylinder is 930. As Centre offers a subsidy of 532 per cylinder, consumers have to pay only 398. According to oil company sources, Centre will credit subsidy in advance to help consumers buy cylinders at market price.
