Commuters face huge inconvenience at Pallavaram railway station due to the closure!!

It is known to us that Pallavaram railway station is one of the busiest in Chennai. The parking lot here has been closed for several months now. This is making the lives of many commuters or vehicle owners tough.
It must be noted that the commuters have been forced to park their vehicles on the road risking theft of their vehicles. They also pay extra money to the private parking lots due to the absence of contractors at the railway parking facility.
A banner has been placed by the Pallavaram police and it was warned that many vehicles have been stolen and no one would be responsible for the stolen vehicles.A vehicle owner mentioned that his two wheeler was damaged in the private vehicle lot by other 2 wheeler owners.
Point is that there are 5 parking lots on the GST Road side of the station and the inflow of vehicles could not be handled in them. Due to the closure of railway parking lot, more vehicles have been accommodated in the private parking lot and this was as per the owner of the parking lot. As per some officers from the railways it was clear that the contract for parking has been awarded and the parking lot would be opened soon for the public.
