NGOs will soon join hands with CMDA for RWH audit

CMDA Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority is planning to involve NGOs to carry out rainwater harvesting audit. A tender has been issued and they are planning to complete the process within 15 days. Further the sources said that they will be appointing two NGOs to conduct the audit throughout the Chennai Metropolitan Authority area.
The rain water harvesting plan was incorporated at 2003 by AIADMK and helped a lot to increase the ground water level. The rain water harvesting is necessary to obtain plan approval for new construction and existing building should also include rain water harvesting as it is essential to save the water resource.
