Jet Airways increases air fares

Commercial airlines are facing problems due to the increased fuel rates and are forced to hike the ticket rates. Jet Airways is the first to increase the price on gulf routes, Emirates and Kenya Airlines are also in the process of increasing the fares on the same route by 10 to 15 percent. The rising fuel rates leaves no option for these airlines but to raise the fare rates.
Giorgio De Roni says that the fare rate hike is inevitable as they have to meet the operating cost. However, domestic airlines have not still revised the rates and are thinking to raise the passenger service fees (PSF).
