Fuel from plastic – Emergence of new technology

Extraction of fuel from plastic waste is all set to be commercialized, the Indore based Green Earth Innovations (GEI) revealed today. This is an Indian patented technology .
Manoj Sharma , the company promoter said “We have reversed the chemistry to extract fuel from plastics. Plastic is a by-product of hydrocarbon, our innovation has reversed the process-thermal de-polymerization-to manufacture oil from plastic using a catalyst,".
Further he added while explaining this technology that fuel extracted through this technology can be utilized by Bharat stage II vehicles and can also be used to operate DG sets, hot mix plants and heavy pumps .
