Auto Rate cards are doled out by RTO’s

After the announcement of revised auto fares by our Chief Minister Ms J Jayalilatha, (RTO) Regional transport offices have begun to dole out the rate cards to the auto drivers. For 1.8 km the rate fixed by government is Rs.25 and Rs.12 for every additional Kilometer. This has come to effect from Sunday; however, auto drivers have time till September 15 to acquire the rate cards.
The rate cards are being distributed at RTO offices and once the auto drivers receive the card, it would be entered in the RTO registers. The card has official seal in it so the commuters can easily identify fake cards.
