Chennai Metro rail project to be delayed

Chennai metro rail project has to be completed this year end; however, it will be delayed due to the financial crisis faced by the construction companies.The Koyembedu to St Thomas Mount line which was planned to be completed this year is being delayed.
The viaducts and tracks construction will be completed within this year end, but the stations and signals installation will require more time. Actually the trail should be started by December of this month, however due to the bad financial condition of the companies the project is getting delayed.
