Chennai mobile subscription is growing by leaps and bounds

According to Telecom regulatory Authority of India, Chennai has included 82,296 subscribers in the month of July. Including this, in Chennai the number of subscribers have reached 1.15 crores. The point to be noted here is Chennai total population is 46 lakhs as per the census taken in 2011.
Chennai takes the second position after Delhi which has included 4 lakhs users and has a subscriber’s base of 2.8 crores. Mumbai stands third with 81,738 additions followed by Kolkata with 39,946 additions. The prevailing teledensity (the population Vs the number of mobile connections) is 200% meaning two mobile connections for each of the individual in Chennai.
