Corporation school students exhibit skills in English

Teach for India (TFI) has joined hands with Education department of the corporation 18 months back. TFI organized annual educators meet recently. The event was very special since all the students from corporation schools showcased their skills in English. Senior officers of Chennai Corporation and Head masters and mistress from various corporation schools were present in the event.
TFI fellows have been training the students for the past 18 months along with their teachers. Head masters opined that schools should have more activity based and fun based learning than the one way instruction learning practiced now. Joint Commissioner of education Mr. T. N. Venkatesh added that initiatives should be taken to incorporate such teaching methodologies to enhance learning and training.
