New train service between Thanjavur and Chennai

Thanjavur MP Palanimanickam had mentioned that the new train services between Thanjavur and Chennai will commence during the first week of September. He while speaking about this said, “ I met Railway Board Chairman Arunendra Kumar. He assured me that the train services between Thanjavur and Chennai will commence from first week of September. Official announcement regarding this will be made today or tomorrow. Once the new train service commences, the issue regarding the extension of Rockfort Express to Thanjavur will be decided. The name for the new train has not been decided.”
