What is going to happen regarding the deep depression in TN?

According to a statement from the RMC, Chennai,  the deep depression that prevailed over Kumari sea and adjacent Gulf of Mannar yesterday on 2nd February is likely to move in the southwest direction today 3rd February. It will weaken as a low pressure area in the next 12 hours.

Today, 3rd February, several places in the southeast districts of TN and a few places in northeast districts would get moderate rains with thunder showers. In one or two places in the districts of Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Puducherry andKaraikal etc, there would be heavy rains.

On 4th February, at one or two places belonging to TN, Puducherry and Karaikal etc, there would be light to moderate rains with thunder showers.

From 5th to 7th February, TN, Puducherry and Karaikal would experience dry weather conditions. The maximum temperature would be around 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 234 degrees Celsius.

Warning to fishermen:

It is noteworthy that today on 3rd February there would be cyclonic winds of speed 40kmph to 45kmph and occasional gusty winds up to 55kmph prevailing over south east coastal places, Gulf of Mannar and Kumari sea. On 4th February too, the above mentioned would occur on Kumari sea areas. Hence, the fishermen have been asked not to go into the sea on these days.
