Fantastic!! St Thomas Mount or Parangimalai railway station in Chennai to become a multi- modal transport hub!!

Located on the Chennai Beach - Tambaram suburban electric line, the railway station at St Thomas Mount or Parangimalai would soon become a multi-modal transport hub. It is known that this railway station is located on the Chennai Beach- Chengalpattu electric railway line and it is the 11th station from Chennai Beach.
Now, work has been going on at full speed regarding a Velachery- Parangimalai flyover construction and the final phase of Adambakkam- Parangimalai flyover would get over in April 2023. The Beach- Chengalpet suburban electric railway line would be present on the ground floor and the first floor would have Madhavaram- sholinganallur metro rail line.
It must be noted that steps are being taken to improve the infrastructure at Parangimalai railway station as Madhavaram - Sholinganallur metro line would pass through Parangimalai station. This would be in the phase-2 metro project. As a result, the St Thomas Mount railway station would become a multi-modal transport hub. It is expected that every day atleast 10000 people would be coming to this Parangimalai station.
Point is that a 12m wide FOB would be built from the southern entrance gate of this station to the integrated building present on the Adambakkam Road. All platforms would be connected and escalators have been installed also.
