Air Cargo Complex Van Owners Association to go on strike from 16th August

Air Cargo Complex Van Owners Association has decided to observe a token strike from August 16 to 18 to protest against Chennai traffic police restrictions between 8 am and 11 am and 4 pm and 8 pm for goods vehicles to enter the city. The association has over 5,000 vehicles which are classified as light commercial vehicles. They carry 450 tons of import items and 375 tons of export items every day. “This token strike will not affect the operations at the cargo complex. We will mobilise our own vehicles to carry cargo on those three days,” said a customs agent.
