Chennaites enjoy the chilly rains

Chennaites woke up to a wet morning on Wednesday after the city received light rains in the night. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), mild showers will continue till Wednesday afternoon. This is because of the upper air circulation over coastal Andhra Pradesh. As a result it rained in northern Tamil Nadu. South and interior areas received no rain. The RMC recorded 21.4mm of rain during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30am on Wednesday.
An official of RMC said, It will be a constant drizzle and we expect it to recede before 3pm. The movement of circulation is difficult to predict and we cannot say how much it will rain for the next two days.
